2014 World Cup – France: Conclusion
Frist words of conclusion have to be for the local organizer of the PWC Cœur de Savoie. Weather forecasts have had a hard time, organizers have had a hard time, and it started right on the registration day when the prediction for the whole upcoming week was awfull. After the closing ceremony, it must be said this organization has been more than excellent, a full success. They build a great village with lots of animations, booths attended by local producers, hundreds of children visiting and discovering our activity, bands playing, a very large ballroom for breakfast and dinners, plenty of shuttles and tons of volunteers, more than 40 sponsoring partners… Impressive.
2014 World Cup – Argentina: Conclusion
After, again, a 30h trip, I am back home in Paris. I will disclose a little secret: I prepare the frame of my blog entries before I leave for an event. So that on top of my list of articles right now is this one: « Argentina, conclusion ». I have not much of a conclusion to share because I draw almost none. My flying is there, my motivation is there, my equipment is there, my energy is there, almost everything was in place to look for a brilliant outcome. But, for the second time this year, a dramatic event touched me at the heart and the mind just before taking off for the first task.
2013 World Cup SuperFinal – Brazil: conclusion
Do you know what is a competition about? You would have learnt it here. Is it about sport? No, sport is something different. Sport is more qualitative, described with words like values, fairness, brotherhood, enlighment, training… Competition is quantitative, like money, competition is about results. The public requires results, the competitors look for results, the manufacturers work for results, the organizers produce results.
