2014 World Cup – Portugal: 26/06/14, 76km Race to Goal

Sorry for the delay, the Internet connection was dead yesterday evening at the hotel. As foreseen we had a task, and it was a nice flight.

The start was not the easiest part under a rather blue sky with inversions at 1500m and 2000m plus some 10 to 15km/h West wind.

Then 3 doglegs led us to the plateaus West of Celorico. This time we had a nive and big gaggle, not too fast, not too slow either. Staying high and sniffing lifty lines was key.

Taking initiatives clearly did not pay off during this task. And even at the very end many of the brave pilots that fought for making fast and low the End Of Speed Section could not make the line or had a hard time to make it. Yann won the task with Rémi a close second.

Tomorrow (Friday) shall like almost the same, with maybe a tiny increase in wind strength. Maybe the last task for PWC Portugal.
